All this started as a personal frustration. I was tired of a screen propped up on a stack of books while my neck quietly gave up on me. And I started thinking about a better way to set up a desk that actually works - not just one that looks good in a photo.
The problem we solve: most desks aren't set up for the way people actually work. Screens too low, monitors too far, no real way to adjust anything without buying a whole new setup. Neck pain after a few hours is normal for a lot of people - but it really shouldn't be. A good monitor arm changes that. It gets your screen where it needs to be, clears the desk, and makes the whole thing feel like it was built around you.
Why I started definedesk: I spent longer than I'd like to admit testing mounts that oscillate, arms that drooped after a week, and "premium" products that clearly weren't. When I finally found hardware that held up - smooth gas spring, proper VESA build, actually stays where you put it - I thought there should be somewhere people could just buy the good stuff without the guesswork. That's definedesk.
Our mission: to make it simple to get an ergonomic monitor setup that works - without overcomplicating it. Premium monitor arms and desk mounts, for people who sit at a desk most of the day and want it to actually feel right.
